so this is a question that has been sort of bothering me lately and i am having problems with both the answer to the question and actually articulating the question so i would appreciate any thoughts the various people in the coffeehouse might have on the question

is a person stronger if they make decisions that purposely leave them open to vulunerablity and the possibility of making a huge life mistake or is a person stronger for taking the safer route knowing the possibilities that one could be giving up?

i think the strongest person is one who makes a choice and fully understands and accepts the consequences. it isn't the path you choose that makes you strong, it's the fact that you chose a route and didn't look back.
